On July 19, 2018, at about 2:07 p.m.
Officers responded to a radio call for service of a theft suspect in custody at Bloomingdales, 315 Colorado Avenue. An officer learned from Loss Prevention Staff that a female subject entered the store and was being monitored. The subject was wearing a backpack. The subject selected an item from the sales floor and walked into a fitting room. The subject exited the fitting room no longer with the merchandise. Staff checked the fitting room and was not able to locate the merchandise. The subject walked out of the store. LP Staff stopped the subject and confronted her outside the store. The merchandise was found in the backpack. The subject attempted to flee from LP Staff and a brief struggle ensued. The subject was detained and placed in handcuffs. The store was desirous of prosecution. The subject was taken into custody. Creona Ajaniese Daniels, 19, was booked for shoplifting. Bail was set at $ 5,000.
