Malibu’s Senior Center is open for general drop-in use.
“The Senior Center at Malibu City Hall is a vital hub where elders in our community can socialize, stay in touch with the community and stay active, healthy and engaged,” said Mayor Paul Grisanti.
The Senior Center is open for general drop-in use following Los Angeles County Department of Public Health COVID-19 safety protocols. Face coverings are required in Malibu City Hall. Seniors have access to all general use areas of the center, such as the computer lab and library, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Staff is also available to assist with Dial-A-Ride questions and program registrations. In-door Senior Programs are tentatively scheduled to resume in September, pending Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Guidelines.
The City’s outdoor programs for seniors include Senior Fitness Fridays, every Friday at Malibu Bluffs Park, where seniors can feel the ocean breeze and enjoy expansive views of the Malibu coastline while getting fit. Stretch and Strength is offered at 11 a.m. and Pilates is at 12:15 p.m. Register online at www.MalibuCity.org/Register.
