In 2006 Lani & I fell in love with the small in size, but big in charm bungalow on Ocean Park and the idea of nourishing the neighborhood we loved and grew up in that held so many great memories. We christened our new enterprise The OP Cafe. It’s been our privilege to serve you over the last decade and a half.
It is with heavy hearts that we share this news. On Sunday, we closed The OP permanently. The economic impact of the pandemic over the last 18 months and continued closure of surrounding businesses that supported OP and ensured economic viability forced us to make this difficult decision.
Thank you for your loyalty and friendship. Heartfelt thanks to our valued family of employees for their years of service and the TLC they brought to the OP every day. Look for your favorites who have found homes at our sister Santa Monica locations Ashland Hill on Main Street, Art’s Table and Margo’s on Montana Avenue, and Golden Bull on Channel Road. We will miss you all.
