Some evacuations remain during Southern California wildfire

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Crews are making progress against a small but stubborn wildfire that prompted evacuations in Southern California canyons during hot, dry conditions.
The Orange County Fire Authority said Sunday that the 150-acre blaze is 10 percent contained after churning through thick underbrush that hasn't burned in years.
Some Laguna Beach neighborhoods remain under evacuation orders. Residents were allowed to return Saturday evening to more than 2,000 homes in Aliso Viejo, about 50 miles (80 kilometers) southeast of downtown Los Angeles.
Two minor firefighter injuries were reported during the blaze that was sparked Saturday afternoon. The cause is under investigation.
In the San Francisco Bay Area, firefighters made quick work of two small brush fires in Pittsburg and Livermore. No structure damage was reported.
