Incident of the day
On Feb. 7 at approximately 7 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Albertsons in the 2600 block of Lincoln regarding a male in custody for petty theft.
Upon arrival, a store loss prevention agent led the officer to the subject, identified as Anthony Kim Bomer, 51, of Santa Monica.
Bomer was seen by the loss prevention agent placing two bottles of vodka on the seat of his wheelchair and sitting on the wheelchair in an attempt to conceal them as he exited the store.
The loss prevention agent was able to get Bomer to return to the store and recovered the bottles of vodka. He was placed under citizen's arrest by the officer for petty theft. A search of Bomer revealed that he was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
He was placed under arrest for petty theft, possession of methamphetamine and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia. Bail was set at $1,000.
