PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY — Santa Monica police are asking for the public’s help in locating three men involved in an alleged sexual assault, authorities said Thursday.
The reported assault took place on Oct. 19 around 2 p.m. in an alley near the corner of Lincoln and Pico boulevards, said SMPD Sgt. Richard Lewis.
The female victim told officers that she was walking on the 800 block of Pico Boulevard when she was grabbed from behind and dragged into an alley. Once in the alley, three suspects attempted to remove her clothes while sexually assaulting her.
The victim was able to fight off her attackers and run way, Lewis said.
The three suspects were described as follows:
• Male Latino in his 30s with black hair “buzz cut,” wearing a white T-shirt, black Dickies shorts and white socks.
• Male Latino in his mid 30s, wearing a black T-shirt and jeans. The suspect had a tattoo of a skull on his left forearm.
• Male white in his late 30s, wearing a long sleeve black shirt over a white T-shirt, black Dickies shorts and white basketball shoes.
Police are also looking for an older model four-door Cadillac, brown in color.
