With several days of heavy rain behind us and a new storm coming in next week, officials scrambled to keep the PCH open this week after mudslides and debris clogged both the main road and some alternate options.
Sections of the road in Malibu were entirely closed on Friday as was Malibu Cyn Road. While crews were able to clear the PCH enough to restart traffic, the problems caused massive delays for drivers with disruptions expected to continue through the weekend.
