Officers responded to the Jack in the Box, 802 Santa Monica Blvd, regarding a robbery investigation. Officers learned that the suspect approached the victim from behind and attempted to grab the victim’s purse. The suspect then punched the victim in the back and pushed the victim. The victim was in fear for her safety and gave up the purse. The suspect fled the location; however, officers were able to obtain a detailed description of the suspect. As other officers were approaching the area, they were able to locate the suspect involved in the robbery in the 700 block of Broadway Avenue. The suspect was detained without incident and questioned about the robbery. The suspect was positively identified as the one involved in the robbery.
Khamila Victoria Garcia, 25, from Rancho Cucamonga, was booked for robbery and held on $50,000 bail.
