ANNUAL WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT
For the month of November, 2021 the contractor will continue with installation of new water main on 1st Ct between Adelaide Dr and San Vicente Blvd, 9th Court between Marguerita Ave and Carlyle Ave, 23rd Court between California Pl N and Washington Pl S., and on Adelaide Place between 7th St and dead end. The contractor will also continue testing and connecting the newly installed water main on 6th St between Ocean Park Blvd and Pier Ave and Raymond Ave between 4th Street and 6th Street and installation of meter boxes on 18th Court between Delaware Ave and Pico Blvd; Traffic on 1st Ct, Adelaide Dr, 18th Court, 6th Street, Raymond Ave, and 2nd Street will be closed to through traffic. ADVANCED TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, PHASE 5 PROJECT
For the month of November, 2021, this project will upgrade the traffic signal equipment at four locations and install fiber optic cables along Montana Ave and 26th St.; The project will provide transit priority along the corridor, allow for real-time remote monitoring and management of the traffic signals, provide public Wi-Fi along the corridor, and connect the San Vicente Reservoir and the Montana Avenue Branch Library to the City’s network. CITY YARDS MODERNIZATION PROJECT

ALLEY RENEWAL PROGRAM
For the month of November, 2021, thru December 2021, Street Maintenance Crews will begin alley repair work as part of the Alley Renewal Program in the 200 Blk of 16th Court. The scope of this work involves alley resurfacing and water box upgrade. This project is citywide and will involve repairs across multiple locations from 8am to 3:300pm. ANNUAL PAVING AND SIDEWALK REPAIR PROJECT
For the month of November, between Monday, October 18 through November 12, 2021, City of Santa Monica contractor Excel Paving will grind out top 2-inch layer of the asphalt street and repave with new fresh asphalt pavement. Heavy equipment will be necessary to construct the new roadway. Due to reduced traffic lanes, please expect delays. One-lane traffic in each direction will be maintained. Street parking will not be available. This work will take approximately 4-5 weeks.
Street pavement resurfacing segments are:
- 4th Street between Palisades Ave and Wilshire Blvd.
- 6th Street between Montana Ave and Wilshire Blvd.
- Neilson Way between Pico Blvd. and Pacific Ave.
- Pico Blvd. between 16th St and Ocean Ave.
- 23rd Street between Ocean Park Blvd. and Airport Ave.

Olympic Water Transmission Main and Well Equipping Project
For the month of November 2021, the contractor will continue digging to identify existing utilities on Texas Avenue between Saltair Ave and Centinela Ave; Arizona Ave between Centinela Ave and Berkeley St; Berkeley St between Arizona and Olympic Blvd.; and on the Olympic Medians on Olympic Blvd between Cloverfield and Centinela Ave. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Carlos Rosales at carlos.rosales@smgov.net or (310) 458-2201, x2620.
Safe Streets for 17th Street and Michigan Ave Project
For the month of October, starting on October 11, crews will be starting work on 17th Street between Olympic Boulevard and Michigan Ave for the first stages of work:
- Residences and businesses will remain accessible at all times.
- Sidewalk work will be limited to one side of the street at a time
- One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.
- All driveways will remain accessible unless special arrangements are made.
