On December 3, at approximately 5:25 p.m.
Officers responded to a traffic collision in the 900 block of PCH involving multiple cars. Officers arrived on scene and observed a female talking with a Public Safety Officer who arrived at the traffic collision first. The Public Safety Officer observed the female driver exit the car that had significant front end damage. When contact was made with the driver, he noted the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her person. Officers conducted various field sobriety tests to check for impairment. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence. Virginia Skolnik, 62, from Pacific Palisades was arrested for DUI Alcohol causing injury, DUI with BAC .08% or greater causing injury and Driving with BAC .01% or more while on DUI Probation. Bail was set at $100,000.
