Crime Watch: carport theives take bikes

On September 6, at about 2:21 a.m.
Officers responded to the 1300 block of Euclid Court regarding a possible vehicle burglary in progress. The reporting party reported seeing two subjects breaking into cars, removing property from the cars and placing the property into bags. Officers arrived to the area of 1300 Alley 12 and located two bags filled with property and two bicycles. Officers located the suspects at 12th Street and Santa Monica Blvd. The suspects were detained for an investigation. Offices spoke to several victims and witnesses. A witness told officers he saw the suspects walk into a carport empty handed and begin looking into vehicles, the suspects exited the carport with two bicycles and bags filled with property. The suspects were positively identified by the witness. Officers located two vehicles in the carport that were broken into and ransacked. The suspects were taken into custody.
Marlon Eduardo Sarti, 21, from Los Angeles was arrested for burglary and a probation violation. He was denied bail.
Anthony Flores, 21, from Los Angeles was arrested for burglary and a probation violation. He was denied bail.
