On August 22, at approximately 2:58 a.m.
Officers responded to the area of 300 California for a Burglary now radio call. Residents of the home observed unknown persons in their shed. The resident activated a loud audible alarm which frightened off the suspects. When the residents went out to search the shed area they noticed two of their duffel bags in the alley. The bags had been removed from the locked secured shed area which had been pried open. Video footage of the shed was looked at by officers who were able to see three suspects enter into the secured garage using a pry tool to open the storage shed. One of the three suspects was found in the area of 500 block of Wilshire and was positively identified. The suspect was found in possession of another’s property and counterfeit currency. Rasheidi Jason Brown, 52, homeless, was arrested for burglary, possession of smoking paraphernalia, appropriation of lost property and a violation of probation. He was denied bail.
