The Ocean Park post office is scheduled to reopen Wednesday after asbestos tests came back clean.
The post office has been closed since Saturday at 5 p.m. after an asbestos scare.
Air and surfaces were tested for the cancer-causing substance but none was found. The post office was deemed safe.
Ceiling tiles, thought to contain asbestos, were damaged from a water leak on the floor above the office.
"The bathroom floor and ceiling tile replacement is the landlord's responsibility and we are working with the landlord to ensure code compliance," said U.S. Postal Service spokesperson Richard Maher.
