The Third Street Promenade turned into a colorful showcase of LGBTQ+ pride this past weekend, bringing in a packed crowd for the annual Pride on the Promenade event. Stretching the length of the Promenade, as well as happenings at Santa Monica Place mall, the pride showcase featured a cavalcade of local exhibitors and musicians strutting their stuff.
The music stage featured the likes of Jeffrey Chan, Kao Wonder, Tori Kay, Big Kim and resident DJ Zeus; while exhibitors ranged from institutions like Santa Monica College to regional efforts such as National Alliance on Mental Illness Westside Los Angeles and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Special art projects were also on display, such as an interactive piano painting setup from Viva LA.
