The Pico Youth & Family Center (PYFC) is hosting its 10th Annual Art for Hearts Charity Art Auction on Saturday, March 2 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Bergamot Art Station, Gallery B1 in Santa Monica, California. This colorful charity event features an auction of uniquely painted wooden hearts by more than 70 renowned local artists. Past participating artists include: Legendary muralist Judy Baca, LA Times cartoonist and Bordertown co-creator Lalo Alcaraz, internationally recognized artists Antonio Pelayo, Alex Kizu, Fabian Debora, Ernie Lucero, Luis Brizuela, Gus Harper and Juan Carlos Munoz Hernandez to name a few!
A silent art auction, live music, authentic fresh tacos, tequila tasting & wine are also key elements of this colorful and cause driven event. Live performances by: LA’s very own: Mayaztek has been confirmed! Tequila tasting is included. Wine tasting sponsored by: Matt DeNicola. Appetizers sponsored by Trader Joe’s. PYFC is collaborating for the 10th year with artists, musicians and community leaders to assist in raising funds to support underserved youth in the community who benefit from PYFC’s unique programs and services. The Pico Youth & Family Center (PYFC) is a non-profit organization that has served the youth and families of Santa Monica for the past 17 years. PYFC has been credited in part for reducing gang membership and more importantly, youth violence in our City. PYFC is raising funds to support their Digital Dream Pathways, an initiative to expand training for youth in art, entertainment and technology. Funds raised will also support PYFC’s groundbreaking Social Justice and Mindfulness Summer Camp for kids.
