After a long hiatus due to the Covid pandemic, the Friends of the Santa Monica Public Library will be holding a book sale on Saturday, November 6, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Main Library (601 Santa Monica Blvd.) North Courtyard, outside the Martin Luther King Jr. Auditorium.
Five thousand books will be available for sale, including both hardback and paperbacks, fiction, non-fiction, art, children, and young adult books priced between $2 to $5. Cash payment only.
The proceeds of the sale will benefit library programs, especially important with the budget cut in library funding. Participants are required to wear a mask.
The Friends of the Santa Monica Public Library are dedicated to promoting the Santa Monica Public Library system, its mission and vision. Our volunteer members advocate for, educate about, and raise funds on behalf of the main library and its branches. It works cooperatively with Library administrators, local organizations, and institutions to support and encourage the extension and improvement of Library services.
