Downtown Santa Monica, Inc. and the City of Santa Monica invite the community to participate in an open house on “Promenade 3.0,” the project behind a reimagined design for the Third Street Promenade of the future, this Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Santa Monica Police Department Holiday Substation on the Promenade.
During the open house, attendees will have the opportunity to share how they would like to see the Third Street Promenade evolve and learn more from the project team, including placemaking and design experts. Feedback will be used in developing a master plan for the world-class outdoor space and Santa Monica’s living room.
Promenade 3.0 is a comprehensive public process to study how the beloved Third Street Promenade is used today and reimagine how it can better serve the next generation of Santa Monicans. This is a jointly funded effort between Downtown Santa Monica, Inc. and the City of Santa Monica, with assistance from experts in urban placemaking from Rios Clementi Hale Studios.
Saturday, December 7 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Additional staffed office hours will be held from 12 - 2 p.m. weekdays beginning December 7 - December 23.
