On January 03, 2019 at about 4:37 a.m.
While patrolling the area of the 1600 block of 7th Street, officers saw several subjects sitting in the alcove/doorway of 1653 7th St., United States Postal Services, in violation of a municipal code. Officers spoke with all of the subjects. Officers recognized one of the subjects from previous contacts at the same location and issued several citations for a similar violation. A computer check revealed multiple Santa Monica warrants totaling $90,000.00. The subject was arrested and transported to SMPD Jail for booking. Karen Marie Jeademann, 52, homeless, was arrested for sitting/lying doorway during prohibited hours and warrants. Bail was set at $90,500.
