A three-month investigation of a criminal street gang in Southern California has led to the arrests of 85 people and seizure of 36 firearms and drugs.
The probe into a criminal enterprise allegedly directed by the Mexican Mafia was announced Wednesday by California Attorney General Xavier Becerra and Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens.
The drugs seized included 14 pounds of methamphetamine and three pounds of heroin. Two stolen vehicles were also recovered.
