Crime watch
On April 3 at approximately 12 a.m., officers were dispatched to a hotel in the 1700 block of Ocean Avenue in response to a report of domestic violence.
Upon arrival, officers heard a male and female screaming at one another. When officers knocked on the door, a female, later identified as Wendy Levingston, 41, of Louisiana, and a male, the victim, answered the door.
The victim stated that the two, a married couple vacationing from Louisiana, had started the evening drinking in the hotel room and continued to do so while at dinner. After an argument ensued at the restaurant, the victim decided to walk back to the hotel room on his own.
Upon arriving, the victim decided to climb into bed, and shortly thereafter Levingston arrived and jumped onto the bed and began punching and scratching the victim's face.
After being attacked, the victim told Levingston that he would be booking a separate flight home; she became enraged and began to attack him again. As the victim proceeded to call the police, Levingston grabbed his phone and threw it onto the ground.
Based on the victim's injuries being consistent with his statements, Levingston was booked for corporal injury on a spouse. Her bail was set at $50,000.
