CITYWIDE — The next few days figure to be particularly festive around Santa Monica.
Here’s a look at some of the holiday events slated for the city by the sea:
Pico Art Walk
Friday, Dec. 2
1 p.m. — 9 p.m.
Join the Pico Improvement Organization for an afternoon of creative fun, as the up-and-coming arts neighborhood throws its Third Annual Art Walk. Seventeen stores will be open for the event, hosting an array of art for sale and display. A scavenger hunt raffle will be giving away local art, pottery, custom framing and free dining gift certificates. Montana Avenue Holiday Walk

5 p.m. — 9 p.m.
Kick the holiday season off with Montana Avenue’s annual Holiday Walk. There will be special promos and sales, and of course, Santa, too. Main Street Tree Lighting

Starting at 6 p.m.
Main Street is hosting its annual tree lighting with holiday songs by the Santa Monica High School Choir at the California Heritage Museum lawn at 2612 Main St. (south of Ocean Park Boulevard). Following the tree lighting, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a Candlelight Walk to the Shopping Cart Tree at Edgemar courtyard and music by the Off Their Jingle Bell Rockers. Santa will make his grand entrance aboard a Santa Monica Fire Department truck at 5 p.m. at the museum. There will also be music by the Green Brooms Music Academy, also on the lawn. 19th Annual Candy Cane Drive

Starting at 10:30 a.m.
Santa Claus is coming to town very early this year … and Santa Monica’s firefighters and police officers are leading the way. Santa and his public safety helpers will be distributing good cheer and thousands of candy canes as part of the 19th Annual Candy Cane Drive.
