Santa Monica’s outdoor ice skating rink is now open until midnight every day until Jan. 2. The Bayside District Corp., a public-private management company that promotes and maintains Downtown, has extended the rink’s hours to give visitors more time to make holiday memories.
ICE at Santa Monica boasts 8,000-square-feet of real ice and a 400-square-foot rink for children age 6 and under.
Located less than two blocks from the Third Street Promenade at Arizona Avenue and Fifth Street in the heart of Santa Monica, ICE opened Oct. 27 and will continue to run through Jan. 31, 2010.
The rink’s new hours will be daily from 10 a.m. to midnight, including New Year’s Day through Jan. 2. After that date, the rink’s hours will return to 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
Admission to ICE is $10 and includes rental skates.
