On Oct. 17, 2019 at 4:55 p.m., officers were in the area of Michigan and 17th Street, when they observed a vehicle driving recklessly, violating multiple vehicle code violations. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and as soon as the vehicle stopped, the driver got out of the car and began to walk away. The driver was detained and found to be in possession of a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine.
Erik Gonzalez, 27, of Santa Monica, was booked for possession of drug paraphernalia and reckless Driving. His bail was set at $5,000.
