SMMUSD HDQTRS — The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified school board on Monday voted to hire Leadership Associates to conduct the search for the district’s next superintendent.
Tim Cuneo, who has led SMMUSD since 2008, is retiring in June.
At a brief meeting, the board agreed to hire the firm at a cost of $28,500.
The board also said there will be a special public meeting this month that will provide a forum for board members and others to discuss priorities for the search. Dr. Peggy Lynch, who will head Leadership Associates’ search, will attend the meeting, which has not yet been scheduled.
