Crime Watch – Surveillance tape records burglary

On September 9, at 1:35 a.m.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 2000 4th Street to take a Burglary report. Officers met with the resident who advised the officers the underground parking garage had been burglarized earlier in the day and there was a potion above the door handle that was cut open. The resident looked at the surveillance footage and provided a description of the suspect to the officers. Officers on the Crime Impact Team worked with Detectives to identify the suspect. The suspect was located in Venice and was found in possession of the victim’s property. William Eric Jansen, 27, from Westchester, was arrested for burglary and a parole violation. He was denied bail.
