Officers responded to a Robbery call at 1624 Ocean Front Walk. The victim was collecting electric scooters when the suspect saw him and ran at him. The suspect demanded the victim’s money or he would kill him. The victim ran from the suspect and called the police. The suspect was in the vicinity when the police arrived. Upon contact with the police, the suspect ran from the police. Officers found him hiding behind some trash cans of a nearby restaurant. Samuel James Abel, 26, homeless, was arrested for robbery, resisting arrest and appropriation of lost property. Bail was set at $50,000.
