The male suspect barricaded in an automobile dealership at 1820 Santa Monica Blvd has been taken into custody according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
The standoff began several hours and necessitated a large police presence including a SWAT team.
SMPD asks that you continue to avoid the area until further notice as this is still an active crime scene.
