PICO NEIGHBORHOOD Police on Thursday were searching for two suspects wanted in connection with a drive-by shooting that took place in the 1800 block of Michigan Avenue, said Lt. Alex Padilla of the Santa Monica Police Department.
There were no injuries reported. The suspects were described as two male Hispanics, ages 18 to 20.
Police said the victim parked his truck on Wednesday around 2:30 p.m. and was about to exit the vehicle when a car pulled up alongside him and the passenger produced a handgun and fired several rounds. The bullets struck the vehicle, but the driver was not hit, Padilla said.
The suspects fled southbound on 18th Street.
