Officers responded to a Carjacking call in beach Lot 3 North at about 12:27 a.m. Upon arrival, Officers spoke to the victims at the scene who relayed that two males, one holding a small semi-automatic weapon and the other a five-inch black knife, had attempted to take one party’s vehicle but were unsuccessful. The Suspects ran over to another vehicle nearby, pulled the victim out from the driver’s side, hit her on the head with gun, and took her car. Another party came forward stating that they had been robbed by the two suspects. Officers were able to determine the direction of travel using traffic cams and contacted the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department (LASD) for assistance. The vehicle was located at 12:40pm in Rosemead after LASD engaged in a vehicle and foot pursuit, until eventually arresting David Oswaldo Saravia and Jonathan Manuel Perez. The two suspects are being held on a $100,000 bail.
