A man was killed Monday morning after being hit by a vehicle on the 3100 block of Santa Monica Blvd.
According to SMPD, officers were called to the scene at about 1:05 a.m. where they found a man in the street. The victim was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased from his injuries.
The suspect vehicle, a dark color newer sedan, was last seen driving eastbound on Santa Monica Blvd. Detectives are conducting necessary follow up, interviewing victims and reviewing available evidence.
The street was closed for part of the morning but reopened at about 7 a.m.
