Santa Monica Public Library presents DIY Day: Valentine’s Edition on Saturday, February 2, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the lobby of the Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
Get started on your Valentine’s Day crafting! Check out our eight activity stations and make your own Valentine cards and gifts. Learn how to make flower pens, paper roses from upcycled book pages, fortune cookie valentines, and more! Bring a small photo printout of your loved one or create an original drawing and turn it into a button (finished size either 1.5” or 2.5” diameter). Play a chocolate piano, and discover other imaginative ways to interact with computers using everyday objects. All ages welcome.
This program is free and open to all ages. Supplies are limited and on a first-arrival basis. The Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair accessible. For disability-related accommodations, call Library Administration at (310) 458-8606 at least one week prior to the event. The Main Library is served by Big Blue Bus routes 1, R10 and 18. Ride your bike. Bicycle parking racks are available at the library.
