A woman was reunited with her dog after her car was stolen on Monday with the dog inside.
The theft occurred while the 2019 Silver Kia Soul was parked at 1431 Ocean Avenue around 6 p.m., police said.
Shortly after the theft, the owner of the dog and several volunteers began looking for the 4-year-old black female Greyhound.
A volunteer group that originally rescued the dog was also active in the search. According to the organization, the dog was found in Palisades Park a few hours after the car was taken.
No further details about the stolen car or the dog’s health are available at this time.
