Officers were dispatched to a commercial property under construction on the 3100 block of Nebraska Ave. Upon arrival, Officers spoke to the reporting party who was on his lunch break and stated he knew the building to be unoccupied at this time of day. The individual heard glass breaking inside and decided to report the suspicious activity. Officers entered the building through the rear and located an individual inside. The subject was sweating profusely and acting erratically, furthermore Officers found him to be in possession of a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine. Edgar Alexis Matias was arrested for 459 PC - Burglary, 594(B)(1) PC - Vandalism: property damage, 602(M) PC - Trespassing: enter/occupy without permission, 11364(A)(1) H&S - Possession of drug paraphernalia: meth pipe, and 647(F) PC - Public intoxication: under influence of drug. A computer criminal check of Matias revealed he is on active summary probation for 273.5 PC - Domestic violence and 594(A) PC - Vandalism.
