19-4296 – Disturbing the Peace - On January 11, 2019 at about 5:32 a.m. officers responded to a radio call for service of a disturbance in front of the Starbucks at 1705 Ocean Avenue. A male subject was reportedly yelling loudly and bothering patrons of the Starbucks as they entered the coffee shop. Officers located the subject and asked him to quiet down and not yell at people. The subject continued to yell loudly and refused to provide the officers with any identifiable information. As officers were talking to the subject, a security guard to the nearby apartment complex indicated he had received numerous noise complaints from tenants and was willing to have the subject arrested for the violation. The subject was taken into custody.
In custody: Gilbert, Joseph Jean (M/W DOB – 06/12/1989 – homeless). Booked for 415.2 PC – Willfully disturbing the peace; and 148(a)(1) PC – Resisting/Delaying an officer. Bail $ 10,000.00
