Local groups deliver “welcome home kits” to formerly homeless veterans

American Legion Santa Monica Post 123 and the Elks National Foundation sent goods to the troops: With the generous help from grants donated by American Legion Santa Monica Post 123 and the Elks National Foundation, a combined Veterans committee consisting of Legionaries and Santa Monica Elks delivered $10,000 worth of home goods, assembled in “welcome home kits,” for formerly homeless veterans at the West LA Veterans Affairs campus building 209.
