On May 15, at about 2:46 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to check the status of a female on the Ocean St side of Tongva Park. Officers located the female and learned she was OK. Sitting with her was another male. Officers began to talk to him and asked if he had anything illegal on him. The male replied that he did and pointed at his backpack. The male gave officers consent to search his backpack and they located what appeared to be drug paraphernalia and an off-white crystal like substance, that later tested positive as methamphetamine. The male was placed under arrest then transported to the station. Archie Leo Shelburne, of Santa Monica, had bail set at $1,000.
