On September 7, 2016 at about 3:40 p.m. officers responded to a radio call for service at TJ Maxx – 1251 4th Street regarding a petty theft suspect in custody.
An investigation revealed the store’s Loss Prevention observed the suspect enter the store with several large shopping bags. The suspect selected merchandise from the sales floor and placed them in her bag.
The suspect exited the store without paying for any of the merchandise. The suspect exited the store and was detained by a Loss Prevention Agent until police arrival. All items totaling approximately $129.00 were recovered. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Tonnie Jones, 47, from Los Angeles was arrested for shoplifting. Bail was set at $5,000.
