
PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY — Santa Monica police are searching for a suspect in an alleged sexual assault that took place Nov. 17, a press release stated.
The victim, who came forward the next day, alleges that a cab driver sexually assaulted her shortly after picking her up in the 300 block of Arizona Avenue. She told police officials that she was trying to make it home, but instead the driver took her to the 3000 block of Bernard Way where the assault took place. The victim fled after the assault.
The suspect is described as a male of Middle Eastern background, who stands 5-foot-9 and weighs approximately 155 pounds. He is said to be 56 years old. He was last seen wearing a flannel shirt, khaki pants, brown shoes and a wrist watch. He was driving a yellow, four-door sedan with black lettering.
