Cal-Hi Sports’ annual All-CIF-SS football team includes a pair from Samohi.
Wide receiver Kris Comas and running back/defensive back Kori Garcia were named to the second team late last month.
Both players did well in their season debut last week against Leuzinger, Komas scoring three touchdowns, two on long punt returns. Garcia scored one rushing touchdown and factored heavily into the Vikings’ defensive scheme.
The pair from Samohi aren’t the only ones from the Ocean League named to the team. First team members included: Culver City wide receiver/defensive back Chris Brown; Beverly Hills defensive lineman Greg Townsend Jr.; Inglewood wide receiver Patrick Onwuasor; and running back/defensive back Kyle Evans. Second team: Inglewood defensive back Isaac Charles and wide receiver Derrick Woods.
