Saturday, Dec. 26, at 1:50 a.m.,
Santa Monica police officers responded to Saint John’s Health Center regarding a domestic violence call. When officers arrived, they made contact with the alleged victim who said she was lying down when her husband entered her room. The husband allegedly pulled the blanket from underneath the victim, causing her to fall to the floor. As she started to get up, the suspect pushed the victim, causing her to land against the bathroom door, police said. The suspect then left the hospital room. Officers located the suspect and arrested him for spousal abuse. He was identified as David Nielson, 52, of Los Angeles. His bail was set at $20,000.
Friday, Dec. 25, at 4:26 a.m.,
Officers responded to the 1400 block of Montana Avenue regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. When officers arrived, they made contact with the alleged victim who said that a person he knows drove up to the rear of a business and said he, the suspect, was the son of the devil. The suspect, a security guard at ADT, reached for his weapon, a handgun, and pointed it at the victim, police said. The victim, fearing for his life, fled the location. Officers were able to contact the suspect, who was not in possession of a firearm. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had removed his equipment and placed it in his personal vehicle. He was arrested and booked for assault with a deadly weapon. He was identified as Angel Ramos, 22, of Hawthorne. His bail was set at $50,000.
Wednesday, Dec. 23, at 1:43 a.m.,
Officers received a radio call about a fight in the area of Neilson Way and Kinney Street. While en route, officers observed a vehicle matching the description of the one that the victim of the fight was put in. Officers conducted a traffic stop. During the stop officers said they noticed the driver seemed to be under the influence. Further investigation revealed that the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested for DUI. During a search, officers said they found cocaine on the driver. She was identified as Sasan Pirouzgar, 33, of Venice. Her bail was set at $13,500.
Wednesday, Dec. 23, at 9:06 p.m.,
Officers were on routine patrol in the area of Alley 8 and Pico Boulevard when they observed a suspicious person standing next to a vehicle. Officers approached the suspect and saw an open beer can at the suspect’s feet and the front door of the car open. Officers made contact with the suspect and discovered that he was in possession of cocaine. The suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of an open container of beer. He was identified as Mauricio Hernandez-Herna, 20, of Venice. His bail is $10,000.
