Daniel Perez, a 28-year-old parolee, is wanted by both the Santa Monica and Los Angeles police departments for questioning in connection with multiple burglaries in Santa Monica and West L.A.
Perez, who is currently on parole for burglary, is described as being a 5-foot, 9-inch, 185-pound Hispanic male with brown eyes and black hair.
He has been connected with two confirmed burglaries in Santa Monica, said SMPD Sgt. Jay Trisler.
In the LAPD’s West Los Angeles area, there was a significant increase in daytime residential burglaries during the month of October.
In an Oct. 16 burglary that occurred in the 800 block of Gretna Green Way at around 10 a.m., LAPD detectives recovered a cell phone that had been taken an hour earlier during a burglary in the 400 block of San Vicente Boulevard in Santa Monica, said LAPD.
Santa Monica detectives discovered a fingerprint that matched Perez, police said. LAPD detectives recovered evidence that tied Perez to a West Los Angeles burglary that occurred later that evening in the 11900 block of Rochester Avenue.
Losses in all areas totaled more than $200,000, according to reports. Stolen items included cameras, watches, and laptop computers.
