Pacifica Christian continued its offensive onslaught Tuesday with a 14-2 victory over Temecula Prep in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 7 baseball playoffs.
The offensive outpouring followed an improbable 32-3 first-round victory over Weaver. The Seawolves have outscored playoff opponents, 46-5.
“The guys are just hitting their stride right now,” Pacifica Head Coach Julian Chavez said. “They are comfortable at the plate, just having fun.”
Pacifica’s Keenan Pierandozzi-Howes started on the mound. He went the distance giving up two earned runs and striking out 15.
“His split finger is working really nice right now,” Chavez said. “It was his best performance of the year.”
Zach McMillan led the Seawolves at the plate going three-for-four with a double, triple and a home run that Chavez said traveled at least 380 feet. He also had five runs batted in.
The win sets up a matchup up with fellow Santa Monica-based New Roads in the quarter finals on Friday.
