Only in America land of the almighty dollar could you witness what has occurred this past week in Los Angeles. Last Wednesday The District Attorneys of Los Angeles and San Francisco updated their lawsuit against Uber for having useless background checks and for giving the public a false sense of security when in their cars. They say they can prove Uber has had murderers, registered sex offenders, identity thieves and drivers with recent DUI's working. Less than a week later the Los Angeles City Council approves LAX pickups for these people? I was shocked until I learned that Joshua Perttula a member of Mayor Garcetti's transition team is a "paid lobbyist" for Lyft and that Mr. Garcetti's legal counsel is married to an attorney that represents Lyft. Don King was right, "Only In America".
