In lieu of giving gifts to partners and clients this holiday season, Santa Monica Travel & Tourism (SMTT) has selected three local nonprofit organizations as the recipients of SMTT’s third annual Planned Giving program. The CLARE Foundation, Step Up and the Santa Monica Conservancy will each receive a $3,333 donation from SMTT to support their essential work in the community.
“We are delighted to support three organizations that are working tirelessly for the Santa Monica community, from providing permanent supportive housing and mental health services to preserving the city’s architectural and cultural heritage,” said Misti Kerns, President/CEO of SMTT. “They are enriching the lives of residents and visitors and we are proud to give back to them this holiday season.”
The CLARE Foundation is a nonprofit organization and trusted community resource, providing effective and affordable alcoholism, substance abuse and behavioral health treatment and prevention services for nearly 50 years. Conveniently located in the heart of Santa Monica, CLARE also offers community mental health services, support for families and prevention education for youth.
The Santa Monica Conservancy is a public charity dedicated to promoting widespread understanding and appreciation of the cultural, social, economic and environmental benefits of historic preservation. The Santa Monica Conservancy advocates for incentives and protections for historic properties, provides educational programs and community workshops, and hosts architectural tours and special events.
