On Oct. 13, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Moderated by Anderson Cooper, Dana Bash and Juan Carlos Lopez, the Democratic Race Debates have begun with front-runner Hillary Clinton and her rivals for the presidential nomination Bernie Sanders, Martin O'Malley, Jim Webb and Lincoln Chafee. Democratic Vice President Joe Biden was still deciding whether to run but announced that he would not participate in the debate. An empty lectern was ready in the event he decided to jump into the contest at the last minute.
Even though, reported by CNN, the Democratic Race Debate was a ratings hit of 15.3 million viewers, the Republican Race Debates of Aug.6 was 24 million viewers and
Sept.16 was 22.9 million viewers. This is truly a learning phenomenon that on-line and television media are a huge influence on the viewing audience, as well as, the advertisers that bought commercial time.
With this in mind, each person in the United States of America should be very grateful and proud to know that their vote for the President of the United States will be meaningful and useful, for all Americans.
Bob: Son, you are 100% correct, as a World War II Veteran and a Father of five children and four grand-children, I know that each person in the United States of America is not only an example of Freedom and Choice, but a Voice of Knowledge and Truth that will be carried on by my five children and four grand-children.
My right to vote for the Best President of the United States of America is a privilege that is true to my heart, as was defending America in World War II. The Hero's of my generation, were not only Presidents like Dwight D. Eisenhower who said “I have only one yardstick by which I test every major problem and that yardstick is: Is it good for America,” and Ronald Reagan “...We will achieve our destiny to be as a shining city on a hill for all mankind to see,” but also from poet Khalil Gibran “...You are good when you strive to give of yourself ...You are good when you walk to your goal firmly and with bold steps.”
Russell: Dad, our next President of the United States of America will have the duty of maintaining America as the “shining city on a hill for all mankind to see.” I am thankful to your generation for paving the road for my generation. At WestPoint Academy, in 2008, your grandson, my nephew Garrett Haddad, resonated the Class Motto “No Mission To Great” while the Graduation Commitment was “Here I Am, Pick Me.” This ideal will carry on the American tradition that everyone counts, and that everyone needs to participate. As the Presidential race continues with Republican and Democratic Debates, our next President, in 2016, will realize that America is watching and listening to every word that is said, and asking themselves “Is it good for America?”
