Melissa Grant makes an impassioned plea in her letter calling for help to pass Proposition 30 and defeat Proposition 32, although it struck me more as hyperbole than fact ("Calling for help," Letters to the Editor, Sept. 23). Nonetheless, as an independent voter, I want to hear all sides of an argument.
However, telling me I need better education if I disagree with her is patently offensive and arrogant. I am quite capable of making my own choices, thank you very much. In my opinion, the elitists of both parties that reflect this attitude harm their position more than help it.
