Although the $20,000 effort to apply attractive painted motifs on some of Main Street’s sad K-rails has certainly improved the spiritual well being of their proponents as they express in this story, who can possibly expect they will provide the vital rescue Main Street businesses need to survive?
“Gee whiz, let’s hurry down to eat at the Main Street outdoor dining spots because we can see the murals on the ground level K-rails as we drive by!” seems a very unlikely sentiment to expect. Maybe I’m so culturally deprived that I can’t see how such a miracle will happen.
