Incumbent Betsy Butler is facing Santa Monica Mayor Richard Bloom in what has proved to be a close contest for the newly-redrawn 50th Assembly District.
The two faced questions posed by the Santa Monica Daily Press' editorial board and from a packed audience of prospective voters during the candidates forum, Squirm Night, held on Oct. 15 at the Main Library.
