EUCLID STREET — The Santa Monica Police Department received a call Monday night regarding fighting in the alley to the rear of the 1800 block of Euclid Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a male and female adult suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Both victims were transported to a local trauma center and are expected to survive, police are reporting.
No suspects have been identified or taken into custody.
"The victims are not cooperative and the police department is working to get any information," said Lt. Richard Lewis, SMPD spokesman.
It's unknown if the incident is gang related. Lewis said people, who may have been in the area, may be gang affiliated.
The victims' names haven't been released, pending an ongoing investigation. Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the robbery/homicide division at (310) 458-8451.
