On July 25, at about 11:36 p.m.
Officers responded to a radio call for service in the area of Ocean Avenue and Broadway regarding a robbery in progress involving three male subjects. When officers arrived, they identified the victim and two suspects fled the area. Officers learned the victim was walking along the 1400 block of Ocean Avenue when unprovoked two male subjects approached and attacked him. The subject punched him several times about the face and body. One of the subjects displayed a razor blade and threatened to kill the victim. The suspect took the victim’s duffle bag containing his personal belongings. Officers located the suspects a short distance away. The victim identified both suspects and recovered the victim’s property. The suspects were taken into custody. Lamar Reaves, 39, homeless was arrested for robbery. Bail was set at $50,000. Mike Francis Gilbert, 72, homeless, was arrested for robbery. Bail was set at $50,000.
